Bring Me the Horizon wore corpse paint for their recent show at the Tuska Festival in Finland.
Since the band was performing in Finland, home to many extreme metal bands, the corpse paint look was perfect. The festival also supported this by having a team to ‘refresh your own corpse mask.’ The festival said:
“The same team also created the stage make-up for Bring Me The Horizon yesterday, so their merits are in order.”
Frontman Oli Sykes enjoyed the new look. He shared many photos on Instagram from the festival and backstage. His black eye makeup and blackened mouth and cheek lines gave a spooky look. He also had an upside-down black cross on his forehead. All the band members wore corpse paint and are in the photos he shared.
At the June 29 show, the band played 17 songs, with ‘Top 10 staTues tHat CriEd bloOd’ among them. The encore included ‘Doomed,’ ‘LosT,’ and ‘Throne.’
What Did Happen In The Band’s Germany Show?
During their European tour, Bring Me the Horizon also made the headlines with their Germany concert on June 23. The band’s frontman Oli Sykes didn’t want to play their hit song, ‘Medicine’ on the stage although fans wished him to do so. In a video on X, the singer is kneeling and checking the setlist. He told the crowd:
“All right, what we’re gonna do… what would you like to hear?”
When a fan shouted out ‘Medicine’ from the album ‘amo,’ Sykes reacted by saying:
“‘Medicine’? Are you guys all right? You guys would like to hear ‘Medicine’? Even I think that song is sh*t.”
Then, Sykes talked about ‘Pray for Plagues,’ ‘Chelsea Smile,’ and ‘Don’t Look Down’ before the video ends. ‘Medicine,’ released on January 3, 2019, is the third single from Bring Me the Horizon’s album ‘amo.’ It’s the second most-streamed song from the album on Spotify, with over 100 million plays, and the music video has nearly 30 million views on YouTube.
