Bad Omens recently posted a mysterious ‘goodbye’ message on X.
The band shared an 18-second teaser video on their social media, and it made fans wonder what it means. The video has no music and shows dark scenes, ending with the message, ‘Goodbye Friend.’
The teaser starts in a dark room with a lit TV screen. There’s only white noise because the audio has stopped. Next, we see a dark hospital room with an empty bed. Only the sounds of monitors can be heard.
Then, a shadowy figure walks down a hallway. They are pushing something off-screen that makes squeaky wheel sounds. Finally, the screen goes black, and a masked voice says, ‘Goodbye Friend.’ The clip ends.
Some fans are excited and confused, while others think it hints at a new era for the band. Most believe it signals new music or a video coming soon. “We all know that Noah is cookin’ right?” a fan wrote in the comment section. “Bad Omens about to slap us in the face with some new jams.”
“Goodbye death of peace of mind era,” another one said, referring to the band’s latest album, ‘The Death of Peace of Mind.’ One other person wrote, “I am soooo hyped for this new era.”
“My suspicion is that they’re possibly moving into a new era, previous era was kinda industrial if you will and whatnot. Not sure what is to come, but I know they have skills in all types of moods musically,” one fan also commented on Reddit.
Next month, Bad Omens will perform at two big festivals. They will headline the Mayhem Fest at the Glen Helen Amphitheater in San Bernardino on October 12. Other bands like Parkway Drive, Architects, Jinjer, Poppy, and Kittie will also be there. A week later, they will play at Knotfest Brazil in São Paulo.
