As I Lay Dying have announced their first festival appearance of 2025 following the recent departures within the band. The band will be part of the Welcome to Rockville lineup, performing on Stage 4 on May 16.
The lineup for the Welcome to Rockville festival next year is already quite strong, but over the weekend, several bands, including As I Lay Dying, were announced. However, Tim Lambesis, the band’s lead singer, is currently the only member left.
It’s still unclear whether Lambesis will bring in new members for As I Lay Dying, or if any former members will return.
After everyone left the band, the singer made a public statement to let people know that he plans to bring in new members and keep making music under the As I Lay Dying name. “Now, regarding what’s next: AILD was founded on persistence and determination. For anyone who is familiar with the foundational years from 2000-2004, you know that more than 20 people (whom I’m incredibly grateful for) have come and gone to help bring to life this vision I’ve had in my head since I was 19 years old. I look forward to building a new team, and creating an atmosphere that is supportive, positive, and fosters a creative environment.”
Even after the drama within the band, the band is moving forward with the release of their new album, ‘Through Storms Ahead.’ The album features Lambesis alongside guitarists Phil Sgrosso and Ken Susi, bassist Ryan Neff, and drummer Nick Pierce. As a final preview of the album, the band has launched a stream of the track ‘The Void Within.’
Welcome to Rockville 2025 will take place from May 15 to 18 at the Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. The stage will be headlined by Killswitch Engage, with Jinjer, August Burns Red, All That Remains, It Dies Today, Butcher Babies, and Bleed From Within also scheduled to perform.
