AnnaSophia Robb, Star of Netflix’s ‘Insurgent Ridge,’ Joins Kathy Bates, John Malkovich in ‘Thelma’ (EXCLUSIVE)

AnnaSophia Robb has joined Kathy Bates, John Malkovich, Tim Blake Nelson, Stephen Root and Lewis Pullman within the forged of “Thelma.” The Change is promoting the movie at Berlin’s European Movie Market.

Robb starred in Hulu’s Emmy-winning sequence “The Act,” Hulu’s “Little Fires In all places” and HBO Max’s “The Carrie Diaries,” and is toplining Netflix’s upcoming “Insurgent Ridge.”

“Thelma” tells the true story of the 11-year battle by the mom of John Kennedy Toole, the Pulitzer Prize successful writer of “A Confederacy of Dunces,” to get his novel printed after his suicide.

“Thelma” was written by Black Checklist screenwriter Andrew Farotte, and is to be directed by Ken Kwapis, who was Emmy-nominated for “The Workplace” and “Malcolm within the Center.” Kwapis’ movie credit embody “A Stroll within the Woods” with Robert Redford, “He’s Simply Not That into You” with Jennifer Aniston and “The Sisterhood of the Touring Pants.”

Pullman performs Kennedy Toole (“Ken”), and his mom, Thelma Toole, is performed by Bates.
