Heart had to call off their summer 2024 European tour because singer Ann Wilson needs some time to recover from a medical procedure that is ‘time-sensitive but routine.’ Earlier on May 29, Heart posted the update on social media:
“We regret to inform you that all upcoming Heart performances in Europe are canceled. In late May, Ann Wilson will undergo a time-sensitive but routine medical procedure for which the minimum recovery time is six weeks. Heart deeply regrets this unfortunate circumstance and hopes to return to Europe soon. Refunds will be available at point of purchase as applicable.”
Ann Wilson’s Apology
Wilson also shared a separate statement to apologize to her fans for the cancelation. She clarified she was doing okay and asked fans not to worry:
“I’m okay! Please don’t worry. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. It’s certainly an inconvenience for me. Love & respect always, Ann.”
Heart’s Last Shows
Last December, Heart rocked the stage for the first time in over four years with three concerts: one in Highland, California, another in Greater Palm Springs, Palm Desert, and a hometown show in Seattle, Washington. Before their gig on December 27, 2023, Heart’s last performance was back in October 2019 in St. Paul, Minnesota.
The band finished up the first leg of their 2024 reunion tour in North America last Friday.
If Wilson’s recovery doesn’t take too long, Heart might hit the road again for the second leg of their North American tour starting in August.
The canceled dates include every show from June 20 to July 12. You can see the statement below.
