On Sunday, Nov. 17, the Maria actress, 49, walked the red carpet at the Governor’s Awards in Los Angeles, Calif., bringing her 16-year-old son along with her in a rare red carpet appearance for the mother-son duo.
Jolie wore a long cream and gold dress, posing arm-in-arm with her son, who sported a shaved head and black suit, accessorizing with a black bow tie. The two smiled for the cameras as they walked the carpet before heading into the event.

In late October, Jolie wanted to follow their parents into the film industry while speaking with at the AFI premiere of her new film Maria in Los Angeles. The mom of six said that she doesn’t anticipate any of them becoming actors or wanting to be famous.

At the New York premiere of her film, Jolie — Pax Zahara and Maddox — while wearing a white vintage Madame Grès gown sourced from in Paris paired with Cartier jewels and Aquazzura heels.
Zahara wore a white YSL dress with Tom Ford heels, while Pax rocked a gray Dior suit and Maddox sported a black YSL suit.
Earlier this fall, Jolie shared in a with that she and her daughter Vivienne during their special time working on the Broadway musical .
“I got ‘Stay Gold’ with my daughter Viv during our time with The Outsiders,” Jolie revealed. The phrase refers to the title of one of the original songs featured in the play which Jolie co-produced with the assistance of Vivienne, as well as a line from the book written by S. E. Hinton.
