Black Veil Brides frontman Andy Biersack sat down with Jesea Lee for a new interview and touched on his friendship with the Falling In Reverse frontman Ronnie Radke. During their chat, Biersack discussed Radke’s success and likened him to Van Halen’s David Lee Roth. He explained:
“I’ve known Ronnie for years and years and we’ve always had a good relationship. Obviously he is exceedingly successful and deservedly. I’ve always said whether he likes the comparison or not I’ve always looked at him sort of like a David Lee Roth of our era.”
The singer also explained Radke’s actions that likens him to Roth:
“He is extraordinarily entertaining and says stuff to try to get people’s attention and tries to mess with people and is very funny and charismatic, but also if you watch David Lee Roth in an interview people [will] be like ‘I can’t believe he said that.’ I think in a lot of ways that’s sort of the way that Ronnie is pretty often.”
Biersack Thinks Radke Is A Successful Musician
Biersack’s thoughts on Radke are not just limited to his personality. The BVB rocker also thinks Radke is a successful musician.
In another interview with Nik Nocturnal, the singer explained why he thinks Radke is ‘exceedingly successful’ compared to other rock and metal musicians:
“We exist in this sort of strange place where the bigger bands have been able to sustain careers and continuously grow and get bigger with outside the realm of mainstream fame. Look at Ronnie, for example. This is a person who’s exceedingly successful in terms of crowd size and everything else. Never on the VMAs, never on anything like that.”
