Andreas Kisser wants to do a final Sepultura show with Max and Igor Cavalera.
“But, yeah, everything is possible. I mean, of course, the last show, [it] would be great to have a register,” the guitarist told Germany’s Moshpit Passion about a final Sepultura gig. “We like to invite all the ex-members, including the brothers, Cavalera brothers. Let’s see what happens. We’re working towards that, to have a big celebration for the fans.”
“We don’t care who is right or wrong. We’re never gonna get to that point [Laughs],” Kisser said of Sepultura’s rough split with Max Cavalera almost 30 years ago. “We have different point of views and different perspectives about same historical events and stuff.”
The musician added, “So let’s jam, let’s have a good time for the fans, for us, for ourselves, and really close this amazing 43 years or 44, whatever it’s gonna be at the time, in peace with ourselves, and really reach for something different afterwards. At least in my point of view, I like to, of course, continue with music and everything, but maybe do something different. Who knows?”
Kisser also talked about one final Sepultura show in July. He told Metal Hammer while answering fan questions, “I won’t deny that it would be great to have a very last show with their participation, but it has to be great.”
He continued, “It has to have people who are there to celebrate and not trying to discuss who was right or wrong on decisions from the past. In the end, we are celebrating now as the Sepultura of today. If they want to be a part of it, it would be amazing.”
“I hope [we can make it happen]. Yeah, it’d be great. We’re working on it. And I think we have the plan to go till 2026. We’d like to go everywhere, really to explore all the stuff that we can on this last goodbye,” the rocker also said in September.
“And hopefully, at the very last show, which will be in Brazil, we have the participation on all the ex-members, including the brothers, of course. That’d be great for the fans and for everyone involved,” he also explained. “And hopefully, we could celebrate together this amazing history.”
Sepultura started the North American part of their Celebrating Life Through Death farewell tour on September 17 at Chicago’s Concord Music Hall. They played songs from across their 40-year career. Obituary, Agnostic Front, and Claustrofobia joined them on tour.
