A new Evanescence album is on the road, and we now have some details about it.
Evanescence plans to head into the studio in November to start working on new songs for their sixth album. This week, while they were in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil for the ‘Rock In Rio’ festival, Amy Lee talked about their future plans.
“We’re in the creative process right now, but we’re not deep in the throes of it yet,” she explained. “We’ve been doing a lot of creating, and we just have, like, tons of ideas. So we’re gonna get serious and get in the studio in November for the first round. Round one.”
After two decades of releasing hit songs, Evanescence recently celebrated the 20th anniversary of their debut album, ‘Fallen.’ So far, Evanescence has released five studio albums. Two of those albums, 2004’s ‘The Open Door’ and 2011’s ‘Evanescence’ topped the Billboard 200. In 2021, the band excited fans with their first album of new material in a decade, ‘The Bitter Truth.’
Evanescence is set to start its first headline tour across Canada in 15 years this fall. The tour is produced by Live Nation Canada, and it kicks off on October 15 in Vancouver and will hit cities across the country before wrapping up on October 29 in London, Ontario. They will be joined by Halestorm at all stops, and The Warning will open for each show.
Although we don’t have a name or a particular release date for now, it won’t be too long until Evanescence reveals more details about it.
