In a recent Instagram post, Alice Cooper clarified that his upcoming Pandemonium 2024 Tour will go as planned.
The rocker shared the official announcement on his account, writing:
“Pandemonium Tour is on! Despite the recent press reports that the Pandemonium Festival would be canceled, we – Alice Cooper and Blondie – have worked closely together over the past several weeks to make it happen despite serious challenges that threatened the festival tour. We are excited to be coming to Australia 20th-28th April for Pandemonium, although there have had to be some changes.”
Who Will Take Stage Besides Cooper?
The post went on to reveal who the tour will feature:
“The festival will now feature Alice Cooper, Blondie, The Psychedelic Furs, Wheatus, Wolfmother, Palaye Royale, and Cosmic Psychos all on one big stage in Melbourne, Sydney, and Gold Coast (note that the Gold Coast show is being moved to a better site – Broadwater Parklands). The Sunshine Coast show is being moved to Brisbane (at Eatons Hill). Additionally, we are combining the two Newcastle Entertainment Centre shows into one Indoor Pandemonium event on April 23. As previously noted, Blondie will not be on the Eatons Hill show.”
Pandemonium Rocks Speak About Cancellation Rumors
There were rumors that Pandemonium might not happen after Nine News reported. Some people worried about ticket sales when Pandemonium offered two-for-one deals on St. Patrick’s Day and Valentine’s Day. Later, Pandemonium Rocks replied to the news report on Instagram, explaining:
“Yes, we saw the news reports. No, Pandemonium is not canceled. We’re still selling tickets… Only take your Pandemonium news from us! Don’t take your Pandemonium news from unverified reports!”
They also turned off comments on the post and revealed why in another statement:
“Due to reckless reporting, and the wilful proliferation of misinformation, rumours and conspiracy surrounding the festival, we are turning comments off on our social media (for now). Putting on a multi-city festival of this scale and caliber is no small feat, and the Pandemonium festival team has spent months putting their blood, sweat, and tears into creating a truly once-in-a-lifetime experience that reaffirms Australia as a top-tier music destination on the international tour schedule, in what is an incredibly difficult market.”
In a more recent post on their Instagram, Pandemonium Rocks said they are prepared for the event and will share details about the location, lineup, and ticketing on Monday through their social media platforms and website.
