In a new interview with The Guardian, Adam Lambert revealed the weirdest sex toy he received from his fans.
“Oh, there’s a bunch of them,” the singer replied when asked about the craziest fan he’s had. “I use the word ‘crazy’ as a term of endearment because they’re so dedicated and committed to everything that I do, which is wonderful.”
Then, he added, “They’ll buy the merch or make me things, like customised sex toys. I’m like: ‘Well, I don’t really need a dildo dipped in glitter, but thank you.’”
“There’s a lot of very interesting fan encounters–very, very overzealous fans, and I love them all,” Lambert previously told Velocity Live Radio about his fans. “They’re super supportive, and they obviously put me where I am.”
The rocker continued, “You know, if it weren’t for these fans, I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I did. Sometimes, they’re a little sweaty, A little smelly–very touchy-feely. And some of the gifts are interesting. You know, I got, like, an inflatable kangaroo at one point, four feet tall, and I kind of was like, ok, well, thank you, this is sweet, what the…am I going to do with this?”
Adam’s fans, the Glamberts, are really royal and they come from all ages and countries. In 2016, CelebMix talked to some of these fans worldwide. “Adam is beautiful, sexy, funny, has a massive stage energy/presence, and amazing vocals,” one fan said of him. “Adam has turned me into a teenager. I’ve traveled all over Europe following him solo and with Queen, he is addictive!”
Another one noted, “I love Adam because he doesn’t care what people think of him, he has a heart of gold, and he loves his Glamberts. His music makes me happy. He helped me when my favorite actor passed away. Since I became a Glambert, I dare to be myself, and I don’t give a damn what people think of me. I’ve got more confidence, and dare to disagree. It’s so much that Adam has changed in my life that I’m thankful for.”
Lambert will make his Broadway debut in the revival of ‘Cabaret’ as the Emcee. Auli’i Cravalho will play Sally Bowles. They start on September 16 and will perform until the end of March.
