Ted Nugent just shared a new song featuring his son Rocco on vocals. The track, titled ‘Who Shot Trump,’ discussed the July 13 assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump while Ted played heavy guitar solos to the hip-hop beat. Nugent’s Instagram post announcing the release read:
“New Music! The 2024 patriot summer anthem ‘Who Shot Trump’ is out now. Available on all streaming platforms.”
The Singer Wonders If It’s An ‘Inside Job’
20-year-old kitchen worker Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump in the ear during a campaign event in Pennsylvania. Secret Service agents took down Crooks on the spot afterwards.
The lyrics of ‘Who Shot Trump’ touched on the possibility that the incident was an ‘inside job.’ They read:
“You had your shot but he ain’t die
Inside job
I don’t care
Y’all just protect that man right there
It’s time to fight
Stand your ground
Let them know how freedom sounds”
Nugent Supports Trump At The Upcoming Election
Nugent criticized the July 13 incident as a Trump supporter by saying his ‘patriotic blood boils like never before in support of this great man to make America great again!’ He also insisted that it was ‘common sense’ to vote for the businessman in a newly-released viral video:
“I’ve got this American dream, ’cause I improvise, adapt and overcome. I’m a critical thinker, I could have written the Constitution. It’s common sense, it’s self-evident truth logic and common sense. It’s we the people, giving the finger to the kings, and the tyrants, and the dictators and the slave drivers. It’s alive and well, but you have to vote [for] that.”
