Jane’s Addiction has made a comeback with their first new music in years with a new song called ‘Imminent Redemption.’
The band started teasing the song back in May during a small show at Bush Hall in London and officially announced its release on July 17.
They said in a statement about the song:
“It is different this time. To have everyone back together, releasing new music. It’s time. Welcome to the next chapter of Jane’s Addiction. ‘Imminent Redemption’ is only the beginning.”
More Material Is On The Way
Jane’s Addiction also previewed a song called ‘True Love’ at a live show last year, but this has yet to be officially shared. Later, frontman Perry Farrell said that working on new Jane’s Addiction material had been ‘one of the most exciting times’ of his life.
Since the 1990 album ‘Ritual de lo Habitual,’ Jane’s Addiction has released new albums and songs featuring Chris Chaney on bass, substituting for Eric Avery who left the band multiple times over the past few decades. Avery rejoined Jane’s Addiction in 2022.
