Blondie has canceled several upcoming shows in North America.
In an Instagram statement, the band shared their sadness about the decision and acknowledged fans’ disappointment. They assured the fans to provide more updates soon and thanked everyone for their understanding and support:
“We are saddened to announce the cancellation of several upcoming Blondie concert dates during August and September. This was a hard decision to make, and we understand how disappointing this news is for everyone. We will keep you further informed as soon as possible. Your support means the world to us, and we are grateful for your understanding. Refunds, where applicable, will be issued immediately. Please contact your point of ticket purchase if you need more information.”
Fans Concerns About Harry’s Health
Fans shared their concerns about the singer’s health. One commenter said:
“Is the Queen ok???”
Another pointed out that it’s unusual that they cancel any shows:
“What’s up with Debbie Harry? She’s not known to cancel on her fans, this really scares me.”
One more user mentioned that the band didn’t say anything about cancelations in their other social media accounts:
“Just had a look on X, so nothing new regarding the cancellation of shows other than the same announcement as here. Chris’ account has been tweeting (not related to this) and Clem’s account reposted the same announcement from the Blondie official account…so am thinking they are thankfully okay which may ease some immediate worries… but nothing about Debbie however which is scaring me a little…”
Earlier in June, Harry and the band performed shows across Europe, including at Belsonic in Belfast, The Piece Hall in Halifax, and Plymouth Summer Sessions.
Blondie also said that refunds, where applicable, will be issued immediately. Fans were advised to contact their ticket seller for more information.
