Demi Lovato wants you to look and feel your best this summer.
The singer/songwriter has partnered with OGX to create a song boost your confidence and get you in the mood to dance. The tune, titled “OG Who? OGX,” nods to the hair care line’s signature packaging and beloved formulas.
“This partnership is something that feels authentic to me because there’s a nostalgic element. Everyone knows the iconic bottle,” Lovato, who uses she/they pronouns, tells PEOPLE. “I’m very familiar with this brand. I used it growing up and I use it now.”
She continued, “This project was just really fun for me. I loved working on the song and I loved getting to make this new anthem for the brand.”
The track, which features Lovato’s powerhouse vocals and a catchy beat, is all about “feeling yourself,” the singer shares. “I just wanted to keep it light and fun for the audience.”
“Switch it up, now you’re looking lavish. OGX, do it like it’s magic,” she sings on the opening line. “Volume up, yeah you’re looking lavish. OGX, that’s why you’re the baddest. Lookin’ like a work of art, feelin’ like a movie star.”

As for Lovato, the OGX products that keep her feeling her best are Nourishing + Coconut Milk Shampoo and Conditioner. “They just leave my hair so soft and healthy and it smells really good,” she says.
Her fave above is one of three (the others are Thick & Full + Biotin & Collagen Shampoo and Conditioner, and Renewing + Argan Oil of Morocco Shampoo and Conditioner) that have been upgraded with the brand’s Lipi Pro Shield Technology to deliver double the amount of lipids and proteins to seal and protect the hair. They’re all available at amazon.com and drugstores nationwide.
The singer has been rocking a short brunette bob for some time now (though she’s currently trying out honey blonde highlights for summer), but she’s never been afraid to switch up her look.
Throughout her over 15 years in the spotlight, Lovato has experimented with everything from pixie cuts to bleach blonde.
The decision to make a major hair change, she says, is “reflective of where I’m at in the moment.”
“Sometimes it’s a spiritual relief by cutting my hair, or sometimes I feel experimental and I want to change my hair color,” the “Sorry Not Sorry” singer explains. “I’m a pretty multidimensional person, so my hair is just an extension of who I am at any given moment.”
The singer, who got engaged to songwriter Jordan ‘Jutes’ Lutes in December 2023, says that when it comes to her wedding hairstyle, she’s keeping her options open. “There’s definitely inspiration on Pinterest for it that I have made,” she says, adding, “I’m not locked into anything as of yet because I still have quite some time.”

But right now, she’s focusing on writing and recording in the studio (though she says she has “no idea” when she’ll release new music) and is looking forward to a summer full of work and play.
“I’ve got a couple of performances that I’m excited about,” she says. “I have a couple trips here and there where I’ll travel somewhere close and just get away for the weekend.”
