The seven-time Formula One world champion has become known for his off the track style during race weekends.
Formula One star Lewis Hamilton has found himself a new gig as a Dior house ambassador.
The 39-year-old race driver has also joined forces with Dior men’s creative director Kim Jones for a guest collaboration. The winter-ready lifestyle capsule collection is centered around skiing and snowboarding.
Hamilton worked with Jones and the Dior ateliers to create a unique collection created with sustainable and certified materials.
“Working with Kim and the talented team at Dior has been a dream, and I was honored when Kim asked if I’d like to do this with him,” Hamilton said in a statement. “Our values and ideas are aligned, making it easy to bring to life a creative collection infused with our shared experiences.”
Hamilton’s guest collaboration “stretches the limits of performance, excellence and elegance, while at the same time displaying virtuosity in sustainability,” according to a release.
Featuring elevated outerwear pieces alongside slouchy denim, knits, sweats and fleeces, the collection is made partly in organic or recycled textiles. Custom snowboards from Swiss Factory 9 add a finishing touch to the collection.
“We share a love of nature, a desire to celebrate Africa and an interest in the artisanal processes and techniques that unite craftspeople in Africa with the savoir-faire of the Dior ateliers,” Jones said in a statement. “Added to that, this collection also reflects Lewis’ sporting side, his virtuosity and our functionality.”
Hamilton is a seven-time world champion, currently driving for Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 team. The British driver, having spent 11 years with Mercedes, delivered a shock to the world of F1 earlier this year after it was announced he would be joining Scuderia Ferrari in 2025. Just over a week ago, Hamilton won his home race, the British Grand Prix with Mercedes.
