In a recent interview with The Sun, Noel Gallagher mentioned that he crossed paths with Dave Grohl a few times during last weekend’s Glastonbury festival but had no interest in socializing with him. He said:
“I did actually bump into Dave. He was about 3ft away from me when I was watching LCD Soundsystem and he was staying in the same hotel I was staying in.”
In fact, Gallagher sent a message to the Foo Fighters frontman, saying that he should ‘wind his f*cking neck in’ about his former band:
“I would just like him to wind his f*cking neck in about Oasis. I wouldn’t talk to him. I haven’t got time for that f*cking mob any more. I haven’t got f*ck all to say to him. He’s our kid’s mate anyway.”
Grohl Thinks Oasis Is The Best Band
His disappointment with the Foo Fighters frontman might come from Grohl’s involvement in co-writing and playing on Liam Gallagher’s 2022 single ‘Everything’s Electric.’
While Noel appears disappointed in him, Grohl doesn’t think the same way.
In a 2014 interview with XFM, the singer praised Oasis by saying:
“We all love Oasis. We’ve played shows with them before, where I look at them and think ‘That’s the greatest rock band I’ve ever seen in my life.’”
Since then, Grohl has continued to perform with Liam Gallagher. However, the former Nirvana drummer criticized the brothers for choosing not to stay together as a band:
“To know that they’re out there somewhere, but they won’t come together to do the thing that everybody would love so much. I’m like ‘you *ssholes.’”
