has canceled four upcoming shows that were to be part of her “Last Stand… Up” tour.
The comedian launched what she has said will be her “final stand-up tour” on June 19 in San Diego, Calif. She is due to continue performing in several major U.S. cities through mid-August, ending with a “special taping” of her show during two consecutive performances in Minneapolis, Minn., on August 16 and 17.
As and reported on Wednesday, June 3, four of the former daytime talk show host’s scheduled tour dates in July and August were suddenly canceled this week. listed all four dates as being canceled, and the dates in question were not among those listed on as of Wednesday.

DeGeneres, 66, was initially scheduled to appear on July 10 in Dallas, Texas; July 21 in San Francisco, Calif.; July 23 in Seattle, Wash.; and August 11 in Chicago, Ill. While July 10 was the only date The Ellen DeGeneres Show alum had scheduled in Dallas, the other three dates were all added as second shows for their respective cities. DeGeneres added those and other extra tour stops a couple of days after first announcing the tour in late May.
A message on the event pages on Ticketmaster read, “Unfortunately, the Event Organizer has had to cancel your event.” Those who had already purchased tickets were told they would receive a refund within two to three weeks.
Additional details regarding why the four tour dates were canceled were not immediately available.
In addition to her last stand-up tour, DeGeneres is also expected to film her final comedy special for Netflix later this year. Her previous stand-up special for Netflix, Relatable, was released in 2018.
“To answer the questions everyone is asking me, yes, I’m going to talk about it,” DeGeneres said in issued by Netflix in May. “Yes this is my last special. Yes, Portia really is that pretty in real life.”
