Ghost’s ‘Rite Here Rite Now’ made it into the top 10 box office worldwide, ranking at Number 9 and earning $5.04 million globally from limited showings.
‘Rite Here Rite Now’ was shown in more than 1,800 cinemas across 49 countries. It features new concert footage of the Grammy-winning band and includes a story that continues the band’s ‘Chapters’ series. The film is directed by Ghost’s Tobias Forge and Alex Ross Perry.
How Successful Was It In Which Country?
‘Rite Here Rite Now’ made $2.65 million in North America, becoming the highest-grossing hard rock cinema event there. On June 20, it reached Number 3 at the box office, earning over $1.12 million in 755 theaters, with an average of $1,492 per screen.
On June 21, it earned over $238,000 in 366 theaters. On June 22, it ranked Number 7, making over $1.03 million in 751 theaters, with an average of $1,376 per screen. Finally, on June 23, it made over $257,000 in 358 theaters, averaging $718 per screen.
The concert film also earned $606,000 in the U.K. and Ireland, reaching Number 5 at the box office. In Germany, it made $332,000 and ranked Number 3. In Mexico, it earned $326,000 and was Number 5. In Australia, it made $178,000 and ranked Number 6.
Forge’s Words On The High Audience Interest
Because of high demand, more screenings have been scheduled in some areas for this and next week. Forge said:
“Having wanted to make a movie for most of my life, I was overwhelmed to see the interest our fans showed in the film before it was even released. Now as people seem to have not only seen it but also seem to dig it… That really gets my motor humming. Thank you all!”

‘Rite Here Rite Now: The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack,’ mixed by Rich Costey, will be released worldwide on July 26 via Loma Vista Recordings. It includes 18 songs and will be available in digital, CD, and 2xLP formats.
