Paris Hilton isn’t letting the haters get her down! The 43-year-old heiress, DJ and mother of two has been the recipient of plenty of parenting criticism since welcoming her son Phoenix, 1, and her daughter London, 7 months, via surrogate.
Hilton, who shares her two kiddos with husband Carter Reum, spoke with ET’s Rachel Smith in New York City about her positive approach to the negative comments she’s received since becoming a mom.
“I’m a new mom, so I’m just learning as I go and having the whole world watching,” Hilton shared. “I really appreciate when moms are coming to me with advice and coming from a good place of love and support. So it’s awesome just to have this whole community of moms, especially on TikTok, where we can all learn advice from each other.”
Hilton recently experienced such an exchange when a fellow mom commented on her post, letting her know that her son’s floaties were on backwards in the pool.
“Oops! Thank you! I never let him out of my arms. thought it was backwards too, I said that to the person who I bought it from & they said it was on right. But thank you so much for letting me know.🥰,” Hilton replied to the commenter.
As for milestones in her kids’ lives, Hilton told ET that she’s so excited to travel with her son and daughter.
“Both London and Phoenix are here in New York with me, so it’s so much fun to travel together,” she said. “They’re such good fliers.”
She’s also enjoying cousin playdates with her sister, Nicky Hilton Rothschild‘s, three children.
“All the cousins coming over and Nicky have her kids come over, and just seeing them playing together reminds me of our cousins growing up,” Paris shared. “So it’s just really cool to see the next generation.”
Paris — whose tell-all memoir, Paris: The Memoir, is now out in paperback — has another big project on the horizon: a new reality show with her The Simple Life co-star, Nicole Richie.
“We are starting production soon. It’s going to be iconic,” Paris teased. “Nicole and I have been best friends since we were two, so I can’t wait to come back together for this. It’s going to be so much time.”
