Sebastian Bach revealed if a reunion with Skid Row is on the talks.
In a new interview with That Fuzzing Rock Show, the former frontman revealed he still has hope for a reunion. This came right after his former bandmate Dave Sabo rejected his reunion offer. When asked about the rumors of him getting back with Skid Row, Bach explained:
“Well, there’s nothing happening on that front right now other than me and Rob, the drummer of Skid Row, are making videos together and hanging out and getting along great. I’m too busy with my own stuff to even think about that. It would be cool to happen I think for the fan mostly, but there’s nothing happening right now.”
Why Sabo Turned Bach Down
Even though there was a big offer on the table, Sabo turned down the chance to get back together with Bach.
Two months ago, Erik Grönwall left the band to focus on his health. A little later, Halestorm’s Lzzy Hale took his place and the band has been back on track since then.
In a chat with The Hook Rocks podcast, Sabo mentioned that the band hasn’t settled on a new singer since Grönwall left and praised their current singer for stepping in. When asked if he’d reconsidered a reunion with Bach, Sabo said:
“Well, the answer has been the same for — I don’t know — 20,000 years now. It’s not gonna happen. And I say the same thing every time. I’m thankful that people have such an interest in wanting to see that happen, but I also have to reiterate that this is about being happy in the situation that you’re in. So I’ll speak for myself personally.”
Later on, Sabo explained that he and the rest of the original members all agreed they were not down for reuniting with Bach. He made it clear that it’s not about ego or cash:
“This has really never been about a monetary aspect of things because it’s known that we’ve been offered a good amount of money to do shows together and to reunite and whatever, but it’s just never been about the money, man.”
Bach Isn’t Happy With Hale Taking His Place
The former frontman clearly stated his intention to get back with the band in different interviews. However, after Hale took Grönwall’s place in the band, Bach reacted to it unexpectedly. The rocker unfollowed Hale on his social media accounts.
