Kendall Jenner’s 818 Tequila team allegedly ruined an AC/DC mural at a local bar in California.
The model and her team are currently at the Coachella Music Festival to promote their brand. Last week, they set up a big 818 sign at Club 5 Bar for a pop-up event.
Still, TMZ recently reported that one of the owners named Randy Franco says that Jenner’s team damaged the AC/DC mural beneath the sign. They left it scuffed and chipped.
Jenner Claims Otherwise
On the other hand, people close to Kendall told DailyMail.com that Randy and his mom, Carmen Franco, knew the mural might get messed up or ruined and signed a contract for that. They say Randy and his family knew how things looked after the event but didn’t say anything then.
Randy accused Kendall’s company on Monday of damaging their new AC/DC mural and not trying to fix it. He said they allowed 818 to use the wall but asked them to protect the mural underneath. But they didn’t do it. Instead, they used glue, and it caused cracks and chips when they removed the sign.
As for now, Randy just talked to the event organizer about the incident. It is not clear what he plans to do next. In an email TMZ saw, Randy’s mom, Carmen, walked around the place and said everything looked okay after Kendall’s team left.
Jenner launched her 818 Tequila brand in February 2021. Two months ago, Jenner visited college campuses in Georgia, Alabama, and Florida to promote her brand. She faced backlash after the events because people accused her of promoting ‘underage drinking.’
