    Jennifer Lopez’s Latest Athleisure Look Confirms Style and Comfort Can Be One and the Same

    Jennifer Lopez and I do not do comfy loungewear the same way — but maybe we should. 

    For example, I logged online this morning in an oversized sweatshirt and a pair of running shorts that have been in my closet for almost a decade. But on November 16, the Hustlers star was dressed head-to-toe in a greige sweatshirt, sweatpants, puffer vest, and calf-high boots, showing my athleisure up ten times over.

    It wasn’t matchy-matchy like the true co-ord sets we’ve seen her in before,  but the cohesive colors all flowed nicely together, demonstrating the power of a monochrome outfit. Plus, it looked less curated and more impromptu than a set. Most importantly, it looked just as warm and snuggly as my loungewear, only much better looking.

    I’m constantly buying new sweatshirts because I can’t stand that rough feeling that happens when they start to pill. I’m shopping for winter whites, but no color is out of bounds — and this Amazon option comes in dozens of shades.

    “I’ve washed it dozens of times since purchasing and [it] still holds up well,” wrote one shopper. And something else I always take as a good sign? It keeps getting compared to more expensive styles from name-brand stores.

    For bottoms, I’d rotate between these wide-leg trousers — which have a front seam, a detail that’s recently had a big celebrity following — or my favorite Alo Yoga sweatpants (which Lopez herself has worn, too!). These are my first choice when I want a jogger-style pant, and they come in 18 colors, so finding something to go along with a monochrome ’fit is highly possible.

    As a Midwesterner turned Arizonan, I don’t have much need for a puffer vest, but I see the appeal. It’s another layer of warmth, yet it minimizes the overall bulk of the outfit. And when it’s cropped? There’s even less of a chance of getting bogged down by layers.

    I don’t need snow boots in the Southwest, so lighter combat styles would be just fine. This faux leather pair has zippers, laces, and buckles and is on sale for Prime members. (That’s me, yay!) In scanning the reviews, I noticed the boots were praised by multiple concert-goers who wore them while dancing, standing, and walking, which is a plus.
