The star pays “cinematic homage to feminine beauty and its power” in the new campaign for Tom Ford’s Runway Lip Color

The award-winning actress has teamed up with Beauty yet again for the luxury brand’s Runway Lip Color, appearing in a new campaign video that showcases both her star power and striking beauty.
“An inveterate trailblazer, Jolie drives her personal narrative with strength, confidence and an uncompromising commitment to self-expression,” reads a press release. “An Academy Award, Golden Globe, and Tony Award winner, Jolie has established herself as an international icon in film, theater and fashion.”
Lensed by Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott, the campaign pays “cinematic homage to feminine beauty and its power,” the statement continues.
In the video, Jolie studies for a role, “a character that loves the camera almost as much as it loves her.” A portrait of a woman who makes everything in her gaze her own, drawing confidence from the power of her signature shade: 16 Scarlet Rouge.”
The star dons a sexy black bra and bold red lipstick as she reads a script, poses in front of a mirror and gets touch-ups on set. At the end of the clip, she applies Runway Lip Color while backlit by a dramatic spotlight.

In August, Jolie was the face of the lipstick’s initial launch. Per a press release, the formula features a hydrating complex that conditions the lips while offering fade-resistant color.
The collection launched on Sept. 3 with 18 shades — 10 existing and eight new.

During a Q&A following the film’s premiere at AFI Fest in Los Angeles on Saturday, Oct. 26, the actress shared that she “ as an artist,” while shooting the movie.

“Which is such a gift, because you get scared and have to do something you’re not sure you can do, and surprise yourself,” Jolie said, adding later in the conversation, “I knew I had a safe place to fail, so I was allowed to be free.”
The Oscar winner also directed the war drama starring Salma Hayek and Demián Bichir. The film in September.
