On Thursday, Nov. 7, the famous couple posted a carousel of photos in , honoring their daughter Kaavia on her sixth birthday. The couple included photos of the three of them together, videos of Kaavia taking pictures of her parents and throwback snaps as they celebrated their little girl.
“Miss Kaavia James Union Wade is 6 today!!!” they wrote in their caption.
“You are a miracle who has blessed everyone with your kindness, compassion, elite humor, and your loving soul. You are a gift to your family, blood and chosen and so many people across the world,” they continued.
“We love you beyond measure and we celebrate your cute little self daily!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY QUEEN KAAVIA!!!”

Kaavia had a big year this year, including . In August, Union and Wade shared photos of their time at the games on their respective Instagrams, watching Team USA take home its fifth-straight Olympic gold medal in men’s basketball.
The NBA legend sat with Kaavia as he spectated the game in August. He documented the special father-daughter bonding moment on his Instagram Stories.
“So Daddy and Kaavia are coming to you live from Paris at halftime of the gold medal game,” the retired athlete said in a video posted mid-game.
As the duo sat together in the stands of the men’s basketball finals — in which Team USA defeated France — Kaavia pulled at her hair, seemingly trying to take it out of its updo.
“Okay, take the hair down, take the hair down, hold on,” Wade said with a smile as the little one removed her hair tie.
While attending the 2024 Met Gala, Union shared with PEOPLE that her daughter Kaavia had inspired her for the evening.
“This is inspired by her,” Union said of Kaavia. “She’s a water baby — she loves the water. And she was like, ‘Mommy, you look like a mermaid!’ “
Union walked the Met Gala alongside Wade, marking their fifth time attending fashion’s biggest night of the year together.
