Joseph Bennett, one of the minds behind the insanely underrated Scavengers Reign, has cruelly teased fans by releasing a teaser for Season 2, despite the show being canceled twice, most recently by Netflix. The acclaimed animated series follows the shipwrecked crew of the Nautilus space station who are stranded on a strange alien planet. As the five surviving crew members fight to reach the ship’s last escape shuttle, they encounter the weird and wonderful lifeforms who call the planet home.
Despite a perfect Rotten Tomatoes score, Scavengers Reign failed to make a dent in Max’s viewing figures and was canceled after just one season. After finding a second home on Netflix, the show has been given a new life with an ever-growing fan base desperate for a second season – which will likely never come, since Netflix has seemingly canceled the series again.
Joseph Bennett took to Instagram to share the rough teaser for Scavengers Reign Season 2, which will likely never grace our screens. The trailer shows life on the planet, presumably a couple of years after Season 1, as the survivors have settled into life on the derelict ship. The footage reveals a new crew of space travelers, in a bright gold ship, landing on the planet and witnessing first hand the dangerous and stunning creatures that call it their home.
“We are ready to make another season.”

Bennett continued:
