Graham Nash has made it clear that Stills, Nash & Young likely won’t perform together again after the passing of David Crosby.
“I don’t think that me and Stephen and Neil will ever play together again,” he said during an interview with Rolling Stone. “There’s no heart there. David was the center of it all, as crazy as he was. And my God, he was crazy.”
“But he was the heart of this band. And that’s why I think that if Stephen and Neil and I ever played together, people would be missing Crosby,” Nash added. “We would be missing Crosby. It just would be a much colder scene.”
Crosby died in 2023 due to complications from a COVID-19 infection. Since then, fans have been curious if Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young would continue in some way.
Before the breakups, feuds, and David Crosby’s passing in 2023, Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young documented a lot of their material. While there is unlikely to be an ‘SNY’ reunion, fans can still enjoy previously unheard music from the band. Graham Nash told Rolling Stone that he believes his former bandmate, Neil Young, plans to release video footage from CSNY’s 1970 Fillmore performances.
Nash also has more projects in the works, including an album that has taken years to complete. The album features collaborations with Crosby, Stephen Stills, Kenny Loggins, Carole King, John Mayer, and James Taylor.
Additionally, Young and Stephen Stills will come together on stage as part of an upcoming charity concert.
The two former bandmates will reunite to headline the 2024 Harvest Moon charity event next month. Scheduled for October 5 in Lake Hughes, California, the event features various artists performing live to raise funds for the Bridge School and the Painted Turtle Camp.
The Bridge School is a non-profit organization that supports children with severe speech and physical impairments, while the Painted Turtle Camp, founded by Paul Newman, provides opportunities for children facing life-threatening and chronic illnesses.
