In a new video on Instagram, Sammy Hagar talked about having a tough time after the argument with Alex Van Halen.
“Hello everyone, I know you think my life is always perfect,” the singer started his words. “I’ve had a tough couple of crazy days for a lot of different reasons but I just wanna say that sometimes the simplest things in life like this, a little glass of wine is all it takes to be happy. Hope you’re happy.”
Hagar mentioned having a hard time but he didn’t specifically give the reason. There is a possibility that he might be referring to his recent feud with Alex. In the comment section, fans seemed to worry about whether he was okay and shared messages of support.
“Sending you Aloha a Mana (love and energy) brother. Thank you for this,” a fan wrote. “People forget that even one of the most famous RocknRollers, and Good Humans have off days! Salute brother.”
Another one added, “Have a great day my Brother, we all have those days and keep your head up!” One other person noted, “Awwww cheers brother. You know we all love and support you man. People like you make this world worth living. Peace up brother.”
Alex recently said that the other band members did not represent the band well on Hagar’s Best of All Worlds Tour. However, Van Halen fans reacted strongly to the drummer’s comments. Some criticized Alex, saying he should have been more involved if he felt that way. Others pointed out that Hagar contributed a lot to the band and was a talented performer.
Later, Alex criticized Sammy in a recent interview with The Guardian. He believes the band lost its spirit when David Lee Roth left, which is why he ended his new book, ‘Brothers,’ in 1985. Although the band did well with Hagar as the new singer, Hagar later wrote a negative book about his time with them.
In response to Hagar’s complaints, Alex said, “‘Are you really that jealous of Ed? Are you really that scared of him?’ That’s how people act when they try to diminish somebody.”
Following Alex’s statements, Hagar shared an old interview with the drummer on Instagram to show that Alex wasn’t being honest about their time together. In the video, Alex praises Hagar for his vocal and guitar skills. He also says that Hagar’s guitar playing helped expand the band’s music.
