Lindsay Lohan reunites with ‘Mean Girls’ costar Tim Meadows, plus Kristin Chenoweth and Ian Harding in the Christmas rom-com
has quite the Christmas coincidence this year.
PEOPLE has the exclusive first trailer for , one of Netflix’s latest Christmas offerings, which begins with Avery (Lohan) heading to her hometown.
She thought her biggest challenge would be saying goodbye to her childhood home and getting to know a new family, boyfriend Cameron’s (Jon Rudnitsky). But when she shows up and meets the family, she’s shocked to see a familiar face. Cameron’s sister Cassie (Katie Baker) brought her new boyfriend along — and he turns out to be Avery’s childhood best friend and first love, Logan ().

The two vow to keep their past secret, but that doesn’t prove easy between manipulation at the hands of youngest sibling Callum (Jake Brennan) and meddling mom Erica ().
There’s also clueless but lovable dad Leonard () and some close family friends: Stan (Lohan’s Mean Girls costar ) and Margaret () and their daughter Sophie (Ash Santos).
Making another Christmas movie was special for the whole cast, with Lohan, 38, telling PEOPLE she appreciates the “certain magic that brings people together.” (She previously starred in .)
“I’ve been fortunate enough to see how they become part of families’ traditions, and I still get so much joy from being part of something that can uplift people during such a special time of year,” she says of holiday entertainment.
Harding, 38, agrees, adding that he feels the film “does exactly what a holiday movie needs to do.”
“I get very excited at the idea of a bunch of people sitting around and watching it. I think of them having that moment that a lot of people do with holiday movies where you put it on and then you do other things. I think this is the one where halfway through you realize you’ve burned the cookies because you’ve gotten wrapped up and involved in the storyline.”

Of his costar, the Pretty Little Liars alum adds, “People love watching Lindsay do you know what Lindsay does, which is so wonderful.”
They are also excited to see how fans react to the heartwarming, fun flick, which Chenoweth, 56, says reflects the environment on set.
“We just all loved it so much. It just felt like family immediately. And that, I have to say, starts with our girl Lindsay,” says Chenoweth, who’s been in holiday movies like 2008’s Four Christmases and 2020’s Holidate. “She set the tone and made it very fun. She was fun and we laughed a lot and had just a great time.”

Says Lohan, “The best part of working with this cast was the energy and camaraderie on set. Everyone brought something unique, and there was a real sense of teamwork. Having been in the business for so long, I’ve learned that when the cast clicks, it makes the process that much more enjoyable, and this group really had that chemistry.”
