After the departure of their bassist/clean vocalist Ryan Neff, As I Lay Dying has now lost one more member from their crew.
The band’s tour manager Alex Kendrick has shared on social media that he was no longer working for the band and didn’t want to be asked questions about the matter. “I no longer work for AS I LAY DYING – I do not wish to be asked questions nor will I answer any. I’ve made life long memories that will never be forgotten but my chapter of the book has completed. I wish everyone the best of luck and clearly I’m still rocking with Phil [Sgrosso] out here,” he wrote in a statement on X.
Although not official, the band also reportedly canceled their upcoming tour, scheduled to start on November 15. One venue, Progresja in Warsaw, Poland, confirmed the cancellation of the show planned for November 26th.
“As I Lay Dying have made the difficult decision to cancel their entire European tour, which was to include a Warsaw concert on November 26 at the Progresja club. All tickets purchased for this concert can be returned directly to the points of purchase. We count on the artists’ quick return to Poland,” they wrote in a statement.
The canceled tour was set to include Decapitated, Caliban, and Left To Suffer. The news of the tour’s cancellation comes after bassist Ryan Neff left the band last week. “As of today, I have made the decision to leave As I Lay Dying,” the bassist wrote in his statement. “This choice comes after much reflection, and I believe it is the right step for my personal and professional journey. I am grateful for the experiences and connections I’ve made during my time with the band. Thank you to all the fans for your support.”
As I Lay Dying has been preparing for the release of their new album, ‘Through Storms Ahead,’ scheduled to be released also on November 15th through Napalm Records.
