Alicia Taylor has revealed some details on the new Corey Taylor mask.
Back in April, Slipknot revealed nostalgic looks for their 25th-anniversary tour, but the frontman has already made a big change to his mask. He recently updated his ’99-inspired mask by adding red lights around his eyes.
Alicia shared a photo of the new look during Knotfest Brasil on X and captioned it, “five nights at coreys heyooo,” in reference to the ‘Five Nights at Freddy’s’ video game series.
Alicia also explained more about the mask. When a user asked how the led lights inside the mask were made, she responded: “Clear round plastic with red lights inside that are placed on the inside part of the eye opening of the mask – you’re close, think like flexible plastic glasses or almost like those suctions for a shower caddy.”
She also revealed whether or not her husband could see anything with the mask on. “Nope! Poor thing was walking like a zombie coming on and off stage. Snagging him some anti-fog spray today – a little trick my girls and I do when we wear the helmets for MIW and they light up/get foggy. It can be real scary!”
Slipknot are currently touring South America, with the leg ending on November 9. Afterward, they will head to Europe and the U.K., kicking off December shows in Amsterdam on December 5.
The band’s touring plans will extend into 2025, starting with Knotfest Australia in late February and early March. They also have several European festival appearances lined up for June 2025.
