As if the blood-soaked carnage in Terrifier 3 wasn’t enough for fans this weekend, now they have even more to celebrate with the PVOD release of Stream, which comes by way of the same team behind the Art the Clown saga, and promises yet another descent into the trenches of gore that audiences of the beloved indie franchise have become accustomed to. Featuring an all-star cast of horror legends, Stream follows a vacationing family who find themselves caught up in a sadistic game of cat and mouse as they and other hotel guests are stalked by four ruthless killers in an event that’s broadcast across the world.
Per Variety, Stream hit PVOD on October 15, so it’s now ready and waiting to be purchased from all major platforms, including Amazon, Fandango at Home, and Apple TV. The over-the-top slasher flick is co-written and directed by Michael Leavy, who appeared in the first Terrifier film as Will the Exterminator, and served as producer on the sequels. In a statement released yesterday, he said that following Stream’s limited theatrical release in August, he can’t wait for Terrifier fans to finally be able to continue the fun at home.
“The reviews have been incredibly humbling and we are so excited to give our loyal fans the ultimate experience! After seeing Terrifier 3 in theaters they now have the chance to continue to fill that gore love right away and get more from our team and Damien Leone in having the chance to see Stream from the comfort of their own home, before going back to see Terrifier 3 again in theaters of course.”
Stream Reunites Almost the Whole Terrifier Crew
In addition to Leavy helming Stream, Terrifier creator Damien Leone is also on board, serving as not only a producer, but as the head of the special makeup effects department, so you know it’s bathed in butchery. David Howard Thornton, who has portrayed Art the Clown since 2016, also appears as one of the masked killers known as Player 2, and Jason Leavy and Steven Della Salla are trading in their cop uniforms and producer chairs from the Terrifier franchise for co-writing credits, while also acting as producers on Stream. Phil Falcone had a hand in bringing the film to life as well, as he’s done with all the movies in Leone’s saga.
If that’s not enough to whet your whistle, look for Jeffery Combs (Re-Animator), Dee Wallace (The Howling), Daniel Roebuck (The Devil’s Rejects), Felissa Rose (Sleepaway Camp), Danielle Harris (Halloween 4 & 5), Tony Todd (Candyman), and Bill Moseley (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2) to also show up in the movie, bringing together the horror legends for the first time on film.

Finally, Stream also features the first film appearance by Tim Curry in 14 years, and marks his return to horror for the first time in over 20 years, as the last genre piece he appeared in was 2002’s Ritual, which premiered overseas and went straight-to-DVD in 2006. All that’s to say that this is a must-see for die-hard fans who can’t get enough of practical effects, and like their gore laced with a little comedy thrown in for good measure.
