Jesse Eisenberg has teased the long-awaited third outing in the popular Now You See Me franchise, calling the sequel “truly miraculous.” While appearing at the BFI London Film Festival debut of his upcoming comedy drama A Real Pain, Eisenberg revealed to Total Film that Now You See Me 3 has been filming in Budapest, Hungary (during which he broke his finger, no doubt while doing some seriously extreme magic trick), and teased the “astounding” quality of the threequel, which will once again be helmed by director Ruben Fleischer.
“We’ve been in Budapest for the last three months, and I almost made it till the end without breaking anything. And the movie is really astounding. It’s directed by Ruben Fleischer. This is my fourth movie with him.
Every day we walk onto set and pinch ourselves because the set pieces, the magic, the ensemble, it’s really, truly miraculous.”
While plot details for Now You See Me 3 remain up the studio’s sleeve for the time being, it has been confirmed that original stars Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Isla Fisher, Dave Franco and Morgan Freeman will reprise their roles in the sequel. The latest outing will also add several more major names to the cast, with Justice Smith (Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves), Dominic Sessa (The Holdovers), Ariana Greenblatt (Barbie), and Rosamund Pike (The Wheel of Time) set for key roles.
Now You See Me 3 Will Land in Theaters in November 2025
Released back in 2013 and directed by Louis Leterrier, the first Now You See Me introduced audiences to the secretive world of underground magic and follows magician Atlas and his team of talented illusionists known as the Four Horsemen. The group perform hypnotic magic tricks while carrying out social justice at the same time, and find themselves being chased by the FBI, Interpol, a magic debunker, and a corrupt insurance magnate. While Now You See Me was met with mixed reviews from critics (it has a green-splatted score of 50% on Rotten Tomatoes), the movie was a huge hit with audiences, grossing $351.7 million worldwide and spawning a sequel, Now You See Me 2, in 2016.

Thankfully, the project has now been given a release date, with Lionsgate all set to release the long-awaited sequel in theaters on November 14, 2025. While we still don’t know what kind of caper the Four Horsemen will find themselves in this time around, Deadline recently revealed that the follow-up will reintroduce audiences “to the thieving illusionists known as the Four Horseman while introducing a new generation of magicians.” One such magician will be played by Barbie and Borderlands star Ariana Greenblatt, who recently confirmed that she has been learning and heaping praise on her teacher.
“I’ve been at the Magic Castle every other day, learning magic. My magic teacher is so awesome; he is one of the best ones. So I get to know all the magician tea.”
