Apple TV+ has unveiled the trailer for the hotly anticipated second season of the apocalyptic sci-fi drama series Silo, starring Rebecca Ferguson. Based on Hugh Howey’s New York Times bestselling trilogy of dystopian novels, Silo is the story of the last ten thousand people on earth, their mile-deep home protecting them from the toxic and deadly world outside. However, no one knows when or why the silo was built and those who try to find out face fatal consequences. Ferguson stars as Juliette, an engineer who seeks answers about a loved one’s murder and tumbles onto a mystery that goes far deeper than she could have ever imagined, leading her to discover that if the lies don’t kill you, the truth will. You can check out the new trailer for Silo Season 2 below.
SPOILERS for Season 1, as everyone inside the silo who ventures to the surface meets their demise—except for Juliette. She is desperate to find more answers to the stunning revelations she uncovers and unexpectedly comes upon numerous silos during her journey through the grim world outside. The trailer finds her encountering another survivor, portrayed by newcomer Steve Zahn, though he may not be entirely trustworthy. “I need to know what happened here, for my friends, my family. All we’re trying to do is survive,” Juliette says in the footage.
Juliette’s mission to uncover the truth and share it with her people threatens the silo’s head of IT, Bernard Holland (Tim Robbins). The trailer finds the shady leader facing a rebellion sparked when the silo’s residents were left stunned in season one after witnessing Juliette survive her self-imposed exile. “I’m not afraid of the rebellion. I’m more afraid of what she saw,” Bernard says.

Ferguson and Robbins lead the Silo Season 2 cast alongside returning stars Common, Harriet Walter, Chinaza Uche, Avi Nash, Alexandria Riley, Shane McRae, Remmie Milner, Clare Perkins, Billy Postlethwaite, Rick Gomez, Caitlin Zoz, Tanya Moodie and Iain Glen. Fans have been eagerly anticipating the new episodes after the pearl-clutching twist in the first season’s finale. There are three novels in Howey’s book series, starting with the 2011 short story “Wool,” followed by 2012’s “Shift,” which consists of three books: “Legacy,” “Order” and “Pact,” and the final book in the series, “Dust” was published in 2013.
