While we await the review embargo to lift on the highly anticipated Sony Marvel sequel, Venom: The Last Dance, comic book artist, writer, and the creator behind the Venom villain Knull (who is all set to make his big screen debut in the follow-up) has now taken to X/Twitter to reveal he has seen the movie, and it’s “wonderful.”
Ryan Stegman, who has written for several major Marvel characters, including She-Hulk, X-23, Spider-Man and Venom, co-created the god of darkness and symbiote creator, Knull, in 2018 with writer Donny Cates. The pair recently took issue with the upcoming Venom 3, revealing that neither of them even knew their character would appear in the movie. It seems that their criticism may have reached the Sony desks, with Stegman revealing that he has now seen the movie and sharing his reaction:
“I just saw Venom: The Last Dance. It’s wonderful. You guys are gonna lose your minds. KNULL, baby!!!!”
If that were not already enough to give you faith in Venom: The Last Dance, Stegman also replied to a fan, @Puto_Takagi, who “really disliked the first two but I actually think this one looks really good,” saying, “I think you will enjoy it. The trailers that got you interested were accurate to the final product.”
Who Is Playing Knull in Venom: The Last Dance?
At present, it has not been officially revealed who will portray Knull in Venom: The Last Dance. The hottest rumors suggest that it will either be The Walking Dead star Norman Reedus or, and arguably much more likely, it will be Lord of the Rings star and Venom: Let There Be Carnage director Andy Serkis donning a white-haired wig and making Eddie Brock and Venom’s lives even more complicated.
Further rumors have claimed that Knull could have a much larger role in the Sony Spider-Man Universe, and possibly even the MCU, beyond Venom 3. Reports have seemingly revealed that The Last Dancewill have two post-credits scenes, and while Knull will only play a small role in the Venom outing, the rumor claims that the supervillain will return as a multiversal threat in Spider-Man 4.
