Marvel fans get to see one of the most iconic and sought-after match-ups of all time thanks to a new concept trailer, which depicts what it might look like on that glorious day when Wolverine and the Hulk throw down on the big screen. This battle of the two Marvel titans has played out across comic books, animated shows, video games, and more, and while this year’s box office behemoth Deadpool & Wolverine did tease a fight between a variant of Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and a variant of Hulk, Youtuber @TheJulianBell has now imagined what a brawl between the yellow-suited Logan and Mark Ruffalo’s Incredible Hulk would look like.
The Wolverine versus Hulk tease in the Deadpool sequel as just one of several crowd-pleasing moments in the movie, which delivered to fans the sorts of cameos that Marvel dreams are made of, including the return of Wesley Snipes’ Blade, Channing Tatum as Gambit, Henry Cavill as a variant of Wolverine, and even a comic-accurate Logan who stands at 5’3’’. In the meantime, you can check out the “Hulk v Wolverine” concept trailer below.
Directed by Shawn Levy from a screenplay he wrote alongside Ryan Reynolds, Rhett Reese, Paul Wernick, and Zeb Wells, Deadpool & Wolverine finds the character’s peaceful existence come crashing down when the Time Variance Authority recruits him to help safeguard the multiverse. The sequel has been a huge success for the MCU, grossing over $1 billion worldwide and thus becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time.
Will Hugh Jackman Play Wolverine Again in the MCU?
Initially, it was thought that 2017’s critically acclaimed Fox outing Logan would be the end of the road for Hugh Jackman as the Marvel icon, but now that Deadpool & Wolverine has dragged him into the MCU, fans have been left wondering what the future holds for this iteration. Rumors abound that Jackman will reprise the role of Wolverine (the variant introduced in the Deadpool sequel) for 2027’s Avengers: Secret Wars. It would make for the perfect final hurrah for the actor’s version of the character, but what does the future hold for Wolverine in the ongoing MCU?

Well, Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige has revealed that, eventually, anyway, another character will slip into the yellow spandex. And they will no doubt have a hell of a time making the role their own.
“You know, Marvel is celebrating its 85th anniversary later this summer. That’s just the first 85 years, and Disney just celebrated 100 years as well. I think these characters will be around for another 100 years, long after all of us. So, for sure, there will be [eventually another actor as Wolverine]. I think it will be in a very different style and in a different way. I also think if somebody were to attempt to do a Hugh Jackman as Wolverine impression, that would be a pretty big mistake.”
