The younger Gallagher brother called his “Weekend Update” impersonation “excruciating”

On Sunday, Oct. 13, the 52-year-old singer-songwriter sounded off on X (formerly Twitter) about the latest Saturday Night Live skit featuring impersonations himself and his bandmate/brother .
In the latest edition of “Weekend Update,” the Gallagher brothers were portrayed by SNL’s James Austin Johnson and Sarah Sherman, in a skit that pokes fun at the pair’s Manchester accents, apparent use of the word “legend” and their decades-long feud, while quoting “Wonderwall” a few times in the process.
But after a fan asked Liam what he thought of the impression the next morning, he only responded with one word.

In a follow-up post, another fan told Liam that the show “did you dirty,” to which he responded: “I wouldn’t expect anything else from them.”

“We don’t want to do interviews coz we’re scared of the media asking us intrusive questions and trying to pick holes in our relationship,” he reasoned at the time.
Oasis will kick off its U.S. run at Toronto’s Rogers Stadium on Aug. 24, 2025 and wrap up in Mexico City at Estadio GNP Seguros on Sept. 12.
