Peterpool finally gets the love he deserves in a new deleted scene from Deadpool & Wolverine. Played by Rob Delaney, Peter first appeared in Deadpool 2 as a rookie member of the X-Force. Armed with the powers of “both Type 1 and 2 diabetes,” Peter served as the team’s powerless mascot during their botched mission, and was spared a gruesome death when Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) went back in time and saved him. Fans were elated when Peter reappeared in Deadpool & Wolverine, but a new deleted scene reveals that we nearly saw a whole lot more of our favorite X-Force survivor.
In the newly revealed deleted scene (which you can check out below courtesy of Marvel Studios), Peter is walked home by TVA Officer B-15 (played by Wunmi Mosaku). A potential romance between the pair was teased in the theatrical cut of the film, but the deleted scene has taken their relationship a small step further. Before Peter opens the door to his flat, B-15 sneaks in a quick kiss and then disappears in a TVA portal.
As well as giving us more from Peter (we always need more Peter!), the deleted scene reveals the fate of the Deadpool variants. In the film’s climactic fight between the original Deadpool, Wolverine (Hugh Jackman), and the Deadpool Corps, Peter’s surprise appearance saved the day — because every Deadpool loves Peter. Fans assumed that the variants returned to The Void, or to their home timelines. However, the scene reveals that some of them remain in the Deadpool timeline.
What’s Next for Deadpool & Wolverine?
After Deadpool & Wolverine‘s sensational box office run (where it became the highest grossing R-rated movie of all-time), fans were left with several questions. What happened to Gambit (Channing Tatum)? Will Dafne Keen play Laura again? And, most importantly, will Hugh Jackman really be playing Wolverine until he’s 90?
Answering each question chronologically, the fate of Gambit is optimistic but unknown. Another deleted scene shows Gambit being returned to his home world after being left in The Void. However, a standalone project for Tatum’s new fan-favorite character still hasn’t been announced. While we await any updates, the actor has made it clear he will drop everything to play Gambit again in the future. Dafne Keen’s future is equally unclear. Like her Minions-sounding co-star, Keen is also optimistic about Laura’s future. The character hasn’t been confirmed for any upcoming MCU projects. However, rumors are suggesting that X23 will reappear again on screen in Avengers: Secret Wars, along with the other 60+ Marvel heroes reported to be in the massive movie.

Sadly for Deadpool & Wolverine‘s titular stars, the future seems less positive. Both Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman have given cryptic answers about their chances of playing the respective heroes again. If the pair never wear their super suits again, then Deadpool & Wolverine would be a great way to round out their superhero careers. As well as making all the money in the world, the film was a heartfelt send-off to Fox’s X-Men universe, of which Deadpool & Wolverine were core characters.
A follow-up to the highly successful Deadpool and Deadpool 2 films starring Ryan Reynolds as the Merc with a Mouth. The third film will be the first in the franchise to be developed under the Marvel Studios banner following Disney’s acquisition of 20th Century Fox.
