Linkin Park’s new song ‘Heavy Is The Crown’ has made it to Billboard’s Hot 100, but it’s not where the fans would want it to be.
The State of the Scene Podcast recently shared on social media that the song debuted at number 79, and the fans shared their concerns over Emily Armstrong. Many wrote that the band didn’t deserve it because they were famous thanks to Chester Bennington. “Doesn’t deserve it at all. They’re famous because of Chester. Period,” a user commented under the post. “Only famous thanks to Chester,” another wrote. One more user added: “The new singer is trash!”
However, the song made it to 11 different lists since its release. It has debuted on 11 charts in America this week. The song only had about three days to be streamed and bought before affecting the rankings, but that was enough for it to become popular quickly.
Fans bought 2,200 copies of the single in just a few days, putting the song at No. 24 on the Digital Song Sales chart.
The single also appears on three other purchase-focused charts. It starts at No. 3 on both the Rock and Alternative Digital Song Sales charts and takes the No. 1 spot on the Hard Rock Digital Song Sales chart, replacing ‘The Emptiness Machine’ at the top.
Currently, ‘Heavy is the Crown’ is only on one chart that focuses on streaming. The new track starts at No. 12 on the Hard Rock Streaming Songs chart.
