Dion opened up her comments by sharing her appreciation for Clarkson praising her when she during the of the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, which marked Dion’s first public performance in years following
Clarkson was a co-host of the ceremony and , saying she “actually can’t talk,” while also saying Dion is a “vocal athlete.”
“Hi, Kelly. When I came back from the Olympics, I got to watch and listen to your reaction to my performance on the Eiffel Tower,” Dion began in her post.
“It was so sweet to hear you, your voice. Your voice was breaking, and it touched me so tremendously. You were crying, and then you made me start crying. What’s up with all this friggin’ crying?” she continued, getting more emotional.

“And now I just saw you singing ‘My Heart Will Go On,’ and I’m crying again. You were absolutely incredible, fantastic. I loved it so much,” she said.
“I hope we can see each other in person soon, very soon. And I hope we’re not going to start crying. I love you so much. Thanks. Bye,” she wrapped up as she fought back tears.
Singing “My Heart Will Go On” seems like a Titanic-sized undertaking, given that it is considered one of the greatest love songs of all time while showcasing Dion’s voice. It won four Grammys and an Academy Award after it was featured in the James Cameron movie “Titanic.”
Clarkson, of course, is no slouch herself when it comes to vocal range, routinely wowing fans with her “Kellyoke” covers. Still, even she knew that was a tough track to perform.
“Usually, I would never cover that song,” she told the audience after she sang “My Heart Will Go On” on her show. “There are some songs you just don’t want to go near as vocalists.”
