The O’Donnell family had a lot to celebrate this past weekend: Comedian Rosie O’Donnell’s youngest son, Blake, got married to his longtime girlfriend, Teresa Garofalow Westervelt. The former talkshow host and the newlyweds all revealed the news on Instagram on August 18, 2024, uploading a series of photos from the big day. According to their posts, Blake and Teresa tied the knot in a glamorous affair at Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey, on August 16, 2024.
In a joint Instagram post, the bride and groom shared all of the glitzy details and touching moments from their nuptials. From what we can see in the photos, Teresa donned a lace ball gown with long, semi-sheer sleeves for the ceremony and part of the reception (followed by a sparkly mini dress with fringe at the end of the night) and she tied her hair back in a princess-worthy updo. Meanwhile, Blake was clad in a white tuxedo jacket with a black bow tie and black dress pants. Like his now-wife, he also sported an outfit change, swapping his white jacket for a black one.
Their Instagram post also gave fans a look inside their fairy-tale affair. The reception was bedecked in elaborate arrangements of white flowers—particularly their sweetheart table, which featured hydrangeas and roses along the mirrored, gold-rimmed table and similar blooms at the foot of the table. They also repurposed their ceremony backdrop, a deconstructed floral arch, to frame their seats, and they had floating candles scattered at the base. The palace venue helped shaped the glamorous aesthetic, with crystal chandeliers, ornate carvings, and gold accents inside of the space.
Like the decorations, the duo captured sweet moments from their wedding, like the pre-ceremony prep, which demonstrated bridesmaids in light blue dresses helping the bride slip on her dress and groomsmen in gray suits playing pool; the newlyweds’ first dance, which was accompanied by a smoke machine; and snippets from a lively dance floor.
Along with the photos, the newlyweds reflected on their nuptials. “☁️dancing on cloud 9, and we never wanna come down🩵☁️,” the couple said in their joint Instagram caption. “8/16/24 was a day full of so much love it could barely be contained! 🥰 We are overwhelmed with all of the love and joy that surrounded us on our wedding day, and our hearts are so full seeing how much fun everyone had!! We could’ve have asked for a more magical day, and are blessed to have so many people who love us 🥹🩵.”
Rosie also uploaded several pictures from her son’s wedding reception: the first dance, the mother-son dance, getting-ready shots of the wedding party, and pictures with Rosie’s friends and family members throughout the festivities. The television personality, who wore a floral suit for her mother-of-the-groom attire, likewise displayed special details, like sharing Cyndi Lauper’s “Time After Time” was the mother-son dance song and revealing that the couple set a place at the reception for Rosie’s late mother.
