In a recent tweet, Sebastian Bach slammed fans for bringing ‘fake merch’ to sign.
“Gotta repost this,” the singer wrote, reposting his previous tweet about the issue. “Also to the ebay dudes who go print some stuff up on their printer and stand around all day with a pleading look on their face, you are wasting your time. Official items only thanks.”
“At meet and greets, I will sign Official Released Merchandise ONLY,” Bach had said in June. “Not things that have nothing to do with me like the history of hair metal or stuff like that. Also, I will sign Skid Row albums with the Original 5 Members ONLY. Will not sign with any replacement members. thanks!”
In the comment section, fans were mostly supportive of him for his decision. “As it should be!” one user wrote. “Rightfully so! People should be ashamed of themselves to even ask!!!” another one stated.
“You are Skid Row brother! They are trash without you, I’m sure they are somewhat entertaining at the state fairs they headline,” one other commenter added.
Bach doesn’t like replacement members. After Skid Row picked Lzzy Hale for four shows, he unfollowed her. He later explained why in an interview with Screamer Magazine, “Maybe after 9 replacements of me, maybe I don’t want to read about number 10. Maybe it bugs me. Does anybody think about that?”
He continued, “How about me giving the best years of my life to make the brand name Skid Row and then 10 people act like it’s theirs. But it’s not. So, maybe I don’t want to read about it…Everybody have fun with the best years of my life, but I’m still making rock ‘n’ roll that can stand up to the best music I’ve ever made. So, that’s what I am concentrating on.”
Bach’s North American fall tour continues in Canada. He is scheduled to perform in Victoria on October 9. His last show in Canada is on October 29 in Halifax.
