Bachelor in Paradise alums Abigail Heringer, a deaf advocate and influencer, and Noah Erb, an ICU nurse, real estate investor, and home improvement expert, always knew their wedding would prioritize their guests—and time spent with them—over tradition. It’s why they opted for a three-day experience instead of just one day: The festivities kicked off at the couple’s house in Tulsa, Oklahoma (their hometown!), on Saturday, October 5, before a rehearsal dinner at The Mayo Hotel on Sunday; their nuptials unfolded on Monday, October 7, at the Philbrook Museum of Art. “Not only is it an absolutely stunning venue, but we felt like it was a perfect way to showcase Tulsa’s beauty to our out-of-town friends and family,” Heringer tells Brides exclusively, explaining that this was their biggest wedding-weekend priority. With help from Ever & Ivy Events, they brought their elevated garden party, captured by Lauren Rader Photography, to life with minimal décor, letting the venue shine—and opted for romance’s signature color palette (pinks and deep reds!) with an autumnal twist to center their love story.
Heringer wore a Netta Benshabu wedding dress, which she sourced via Jaxon James, for her trip down the aisle. “It was simple but unique and it felt the most like me out of all the dresses I tried on,” she says, noting that she accessorized with her grandmother’s pearl earrings. She held a seasonal bouquet bursting with fall colors and flower varieties, including dahlias by Emerald & Olive. The groom, inspired by men’s fashion in the 1920s, stepped out in a white tuxedo jacket from Don Morphy, which he paired with black pants; one of the jacket’s sleeves was embroidered with “BB,” Erb’s nickname for his now-wife, and the duo’s wedding date. The couple, who skipped bridesmaids and groomsmen, got ready for the day at their home to keep stress levels low—an intentional choice that is now one of their favorite decisions. “The slower paced morning at home really helped me calm the nerves the day-of,” says the bride. “And it feels extra special now, since I have those memories whenever we’re home!”
Another intentional choice? Having a first look ahead of the nuptials. “Something that Noah and I always valued and prioritized in our relationship since coming off of Bachelor in Paradise is our privacy and being protective of how much we share with the world in regards to our relationship,” explains the bride. “Doing a first look and being able to share that intimate moment with just us was something that we valued so much and it also helped calm the nerves.”
During their ceremony, they gave their florist creative control. “The garden at the Philbrook is so stunning, so we wanted to keep it very simple,” notes Heringer, nodding to the floral arrangements that ran alongside the final row all the way down the aisle and up to the altar. These décor elements set the stage for the newlyweds’ favorite big-day moments: Erb says his was watching his bride walked towards him. And for Heringer, “walking down the aisle with my dad and seeing Noah at the end with all of our friends and family there to support us,” was the day’s peak. “It’s a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life,” she says.
After a heartfelt service officiated by Erb’s older brother (“I’ve grown very close to him and his family,” says the bride) during which they exchanged bands from Keyzar, the couple and their 93 guests moved on to the cocktail hour, where they noshed on smoked cherry tomato and beet carpaccio bites and stopped by a mozzarella station, where they watch the cheese being made from scratch, and grabbed a few of the couple’s signature cocktails from Fig & Foundry—a ginger pear moscow mule for Heringer and a spiced old fashion for Erb—via a ribbed white bar covered in a lush flower garland. Cocktail hour ended with a bang: “Noah loves live music and it was his biggest request, so we hired King Cabbage Brass Band to pay homage to Tulsa,” explains the bride. “They played the saxophone during cocktail hour—and the whole band surprised guests at the end and marched us to the reception.”
During the interlude, the couple’s vendor team flipped the ceremony space for an evening of dinner and dancing. Long tables, which facilitated easy conversation, were topped with white linen so the couple’s colorful flowers would pop; table lamps and string lights overhead added ambience. While guests enjoyed their choice of orecchiette and sausage, chilean sea bass, or wild mushroom risotto, they listened to speeches from Heringer’s sister, the maid of honor, and the groom’s twin, his best man and witnessed the pair’s first dance to a very special tune. “We took our first dance to ‘Adore You’ by Miley Cyrus, which we used to announce our relationship after coming out of hiding after Bachelor in Paradise,” says the bride.
It’s like reading a book not knowing the details, but knowing in the end, you’re content.
Following an outfit change (Heringer stepped into a Kate Willa ensemble for the party), a round of espresso martinis (“Which we named ‘espresso makinis’ to incorporate our German Shepherd into the festivities,” says Heringer), and late-night pizza, the couple and their loved ones spent the rest of the evening having a blast with their band and bar hopping. Now on the other side of their wedding, the duo is ready for an exciting new phase. “It feels like the beginning of a new life. It’s like reading a book not knowing the details, but knowing in the end, you’re content,” shares Erb. “I’m excited to see what my confidant and best friend and I get into next.”
