If you have not yet gotten your hands on your viewing glasses or made special plans to view the once in a lifetime solar eclipse, consider this your final warning. Special viewing parties are planned for nearly every corner of Central and Upstate New York on Monday afternoon.
Away from the eclipse, a very busy week is ahead of us.
The Oncenter Crouse Hinds Theater has rock band Blue October, comedian Mark Normand, and the Syracuse Orchestra’s tribute to 80s music this week. Speaking of the 1980s, the Landmark Theatre has a live stage show which provides a “fresh and modern” look at “The Golden Girls.” And the calendar is dotted with concerts, live theater, and art shows.
This week also sees the return of Syracuse Fashion Week, now celebrating its tenth anniversary.
And, if you want to enjoy some fresh air, Syracuse’s chapter of the Meals on Wheels is hosting a bike ride to combat hunger and the CNY Folksmarch will be walking all over Marcellus Park this weekend.
