Marc Storace recently shared whether Krokus was ending their run together after their farewell tour announcement from six years ago.
“No, no, no, no. Krokus is reborn,” he told The Metal Voice. “We all feel fresh again. We’ve had a really nice run and the feeling in the band is really harmonious. And I don’t sense any bad vibes for doing my solo stuff because they know I did it because I was in a lockdown situation and that’s how it started and the ball kept on rolling. So, it’s something I’m doing not because I wanna leave Krokus.”
The band announced their final tour in 2018, a year following the release of their last album, ‘Big Rocks.’ When asked about possible new music, Storace also explained, “It would be nice, and I know there would be a lot of fans who would be thankful for that, but I don’t see any sign of life in the creative way, except for the live stuff that we do. And the band has never been so good playing live, and it’s really fun. And everything comes automatically nowadays. I mean, it would be nice, but who am I to talk, if everyone else is not [on the same page about it].”
Krokus was originally set to start their 13 supposed farewell shows in September 2020 and conclude them the next month. But they had to push the dates back due to the pandemic at the time.
The band performed a special concert in Solothurn, Switzerland in September 2022 before returning to the Hallenstadion in Zürich on May 6, 2023. Their live shows continued through 2024, leading up to their 50th anniversary in 2025.
