Rikki Rockett just shared that Bret Michaels isn’t up for touring with Poison next year.
On September 10, the Poison drummer posted on his official Facebook page about the constant questions he receives about touring with the band. “I keep getting asked multiple times a day, ‘Why isn’t Poison touring in 2025 now?’ Super simple answer, Bret doesn’t want to,” he explained.
This comes less than three months after Michaels said on social media that Poison would be touring in 2025. He also mentioned at the time, “As usual, there will be no backing tracks. Live, raw and uncut. Warts and all.”
Although Rocket claims that his bandmate doesn’t want a reunion, Michaels himself said during a show that a reunion with the original members would be awesome. “40 year anniversary, 1986-2026, right back here, all original Poison,” the frontman said in one of his solo shows. “C.C. DeVille, Rikki Rockett, Bobby Dall right back here. Wouldn’t that be an awesome night? Till then, let’s live in the moment right now.”
The frontman even made some plans.
“I think in 2025, 2026, one million percent,” he said of the possibility of a reunion in an interview. “We’re gonna bring all the Poison greatest-hits reunion and make it part of what ‘Parti-Gras’ is. We’ll make it the Poison reunion ‘Parti-Gras’ and bring a lot of great bands and just, without a doubt, unleash all those Poison greatest hits.”
The last time Poison went on tour was in 2022. They were part of a stadium tour with Motley Crüe, Def Leppard, and Joan Jett, and they performed at Comerica Park in Detroit on July 10 of that year. Before that, Poison’s last headlining tour was in 2018. They played at Pine Knob on June 8 that year.
