Tom Morello shared on Instagram about upcoming solo shows where Rage Against the Machine fans can enjoy the band’s music.
In January this year, RATM drummer Brad Wilk announced the band’s third split on Instagram. But Morello will keep performing solo this summer. The guitarist shared tour dates of his upcoming UK and Europe tour, writing:
“UK! EUROPE! Calling all RATM fans! Audioslave fans! Prophets of Rage fans! Nightwatchman fans! Atlas Underground fans! Street Sweeper Social Club fans! Yes, even E Street Band fans! Calling all Guitar-loving/Peace/Love & Justice/Anti-racist rabble-rousers! THE TIME HAS COME! See you in the UK/Europe this summer! Tickets available at tommorello.com.”
Besides the tour, Morello will also have a solo show in London this summer. He’ll perform with some surprise guests at the 1,500-capacity Electric Ballroom in Camden Town on Thursday, June 13. This show will be a warm-up for his upcoming UK and Europe tour, starting with Download 2024 on June 15.
RATM Won’t Perform Anymore
Wilk revealed RATM’s disbandment with the following words:
“I know a lot of people are waiting for us to announce new dates for all the canceled RATM shows. I don’t want to string people or myself along any further. So, while there has been some communication that this may be happening in the future… I want to let you know that RATM (Tim, Zack, Tom, and I) will not be touring or playing live again. I’m sorry for those of you who have been waiting for this to happen. I really wish it was…”
Zack De La Rocha Was Absent In The Group Photo
Later that month, RATM shared a photo on Instagram, but their lead singer, Zack de la Rocha, was missing. The picture featured a black silhouette performing against a red background, with the song ‘Wake Up.’ Wilk also shared the same photo on his page, writing:
“What he said…”
When some fans couldn’t spot Rocha and questioned if it meant something, the drummer said he was there:
“Look for the [microphone emoji] and cord.”
Still, the confusion caused discussions on different platforms like Reddit, where RATM fans shared their interpretations of the photo and Wilk’s comments.
