It seems that Noel Gallagher wants to make up with his brother Liam, but he still refuses to do so.
In a recent interview with John Robb, Noel praised his brother’s vocal talent as ‘something else’ and credited it as a big reason why some Oasis songs had such a strong impact: “If songs were drinks – Liam’s is a shot of tequila and mine’s half a Guinness. Mine’s half a Guinness on a Tuesday. Liam’s is ten shots of tequila on a f*cking Friday night,” he said.
“I can’t sing ‘Slide Away,’ ‘Cigarettes And Alcohol,’ ‘Rock N’ Roll Star’ and ‘Columbia’ and all that. I mean, I could do it, but it’s not the same. It’s the delivery and the tone of his voice and the attitude. I don’t have the same attitude as him,” Noel added.
However, Liam didn’t take this well. In fact, he hasn’t seen the interview and he doesn’t care.
“Liam have u seen the new Noel Gallagher interview at sifters,” a user asked him on X. “Nope I don’t care for all that nostalgic nonsense taking a trip down memory lane boo hoo weren’t we great I’m still f*cking great let’s f*cking have it CMON,” Liam responded to the question.
Liam might look like he doesn’t care, but he reserves a seat for Noel at every show. A fan shared a picture from one of Liam’s shows of a sign on a seat that read ‘RESERVED NOEL GALLAGHER.’ When asked if he does it on every show, Liam responded: “Yes, you never know.”
So, if Noel appears in any of Liam’s shows, there might be a chance of a reunion.
