Bravo’s favorite ice queens are officially returning for Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City. The trailer for the upcoming 5th season of the dramatic reality show has arrived, and it’s another season of explosive moments. Heather Gay, Lisa Barlow, Whitney Rose, Meredith Marks, and Angie Katsanvas are all back for another round of chaos. Original cast member and “friend” from last season, Mary Cosby, is also returning in a full-time capacity. Joining the reality TV madness this season will be Bronwyn Newport, initially introduced as a friend of Lisa Barlow.
If the trailer is any indication, The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City are experiencing another monumental shift in their dynamic this season. While no direct conflict between cousins Heather Gay and Whitney Rose was featured in the trailer, an audio clip at the start of the video appears to allude to a potential rift. Heather can be heard confronting someone about reaching out to their “sworn enemy,” and this is immediately followed by Whitney referencing searching for proof about something and receiving the proof. This may be related to the former cast member, Monica Garcia recently alluding to the cast blocking her from returning to the show, but clarifying that Whitney and Meredith Marks were not responsible for this. It could also be regarding former star, Jen Shah, who is serving time in prison after being sentenced to 6.5 years.

One dynamic duo who appear to be back on good terms are Meredith Marks and Lisa Barlow. A rift developed between the pair in the show’s second season following a profanity-laced hot mic moment, where Lisa referred to Meredith as a “piece of sh*t garbage wh*re.” However, the Season 5 trailer shows them comforting each other after several tense moments with the rest of the cast. Both women find themselves in hot water with several of their fellow cast members, placing them directly at the center of the drama once again.
Lisa and Meredith Versus Everyone
After defending herself against allegations involving her business, Vida Tequila, Lisa faces new conflict on the topic. In the trailer, she proclaims that she has “built everything” that she has, to which Whitney Rose quips “on the backs of other people.” The moment triggers Lisa to stand up from the table and demand Whitney remove the “Lisa-themed” wig she’s wearing. Another source of contention for Lisa is with her former close friend, Angie Katsanvas. The issues appear to be derived from comments by Angie regarding Lisa’s parenting. Lisa accuses Angie of not being a “good friend” to her lately, leading to Angie standing up and declaring that Lisa has been a “f***ing b***h* to her.
Meredith, on the other hand, will spend Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City falling out with former friend and confidant, Mary Cosby. Arguably, nobody in the cast was Team Mary more than Meredith, so the dissolution of their friendship was one of the most shocking moments of the trailer. After a heated exchange in which Mary tells Meredith that she isn’t “always the victim.”, Meredith doesn’t take the comment lightly, accusing Mary of using her for the last three years. The bad blood between the pair doesn’t appear to end there, however, as Mary is shown throwing Meredith out of her home at a cast dinner during the season.
